Solar Electricity: Your affordable clean energy solution

Solar energy offers several distinct benefits over utility power. An investment in a solar energy system delivers the following benefits:

  • Solar is a fixed cost hedged against rising energy costs
  • Reduced energy bills
  • Solar energy systems are highly reliable and have low maintenance costs
  • Federal tax credit of 30%
  • Accelerated state and federal depreciation (solar considered a five-year asset)
  • Arizona state tax credit of 25% up to $1,000
  • Utility Rebates $2.50 - $3.00 per Watt
  • System cost is state sales tax exempt
  • Solar is the only 100% clean, completely silent energy generation technology.
  • With solar, your company can buy 30 years of clean energy for about the same cost as 4 to 7 years' worth of utility energy. It's that simple.

The cost estimated in the solar calculator includes all equipment, installation and permitting. Of course, after the system is installed and approved by the utility company, you will receive your rebate ($3/watt) and then you can apply for you tax credits.
The graph below also shows an example of costs for various system sizes, costs after incentives, increase in equity in your home and total PV system lifetime savings (over 25yrs.)

To determine the appropriate size PV system for your needs we need to mainly consider 3 items:
1) The available surface area on a south facing roof
2) Your electrical usage for the past 12 months (in kWh).
3) Your budget and goals for how much electricity you want to offset with solar.

- submittal of permits to city and applications to City
- costs of permits
- all equipment (including solar panels, inverters, racking)
- mounting for all hardware on tile roof and placement of panels
- all copper wiring, conduit, AC/DC disconnects, combiner boxes
- bidirectional meter
- coordination of all inspections
- final hook-up to utility company

Project Timelines can range from 6-12 weeks. This is mainly due to the reviews/approvals by the utility company.
